GO2020 | ENGAGE: February Week 2: PRAYERSample

February 14—Prayer for All People
Read
1 Timothy 2:1-6
Reflect
There are different types of prayer, and there are many different things for which we can pray. Prayers of thanksgiving are as important as requests for ourselves and intercession for others. Philippians 4:6 (TLB) says: “tell God your needs, and don’t forget to thank him for his answers.” When we pray for others, especially our leaders, God is pleased.
Engage
Read today’s Scripture passage. Say or write it out in your own words, considering the following questions.· What does it say about God?· What does it say about us?· Is there a promise to trust?· Is there a command to obey?· How will I apply this Scripture to my life?· Who will I show that I care by sharing this truth?
Memorize
Now read this week’s memory verses, Luke 11:2-4. Spend a few minutes working to memorize them.

About this Plan

GO2020 is focused on mobilizing people to pray, but how should we pray? What should we pray for? This week we will discover how to pray as Jesus taught us.
