Flip or Flop: Change Your Situation With PraiseSample
IT’S NOT HARD
When you think about it, it’s easy to praise the Lord. It’s not hard. He’s done so much for us! He’s saved us, healed us, bought us back from death and hell, made every provision for us, given us His love, His peace, and His joy.
He’s made a home for us with Himself in heaven where we’ll live forever, ruling and reigning with Him! Not only that, but He’s always paying attention to every minute detail of your life, working all things together for your good when you ask Him to (see Rom. 8:28).
I could go on and on—you get the point. If you have trouble thanking God for all His benefits and all He’s done for you, just start with those I’ve listed above. Meditate on these verses and how they apply in your life:
Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever (Psalm 107:1).
In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you (1 Thessalonians 5:18).
Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving (Colossians 4:2).
Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name! For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations (Psalm 100:4-5 ESV).
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever (Psalm 118:29 NIV).
I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds (Psalm 9:1 NIV).
Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name (Hebrews 13:15).
