Nine Reasons to Read Your BibleSample
WINNING
Here are three more reasons to read your Bible on a regular basis:
7. The Word of God is our only offensive weapon against the enemy (see Eph. 6:17). We are meant to read it, hide it in our hearts, and speak it out our mouths when we face fears, troubles and setbacks. “Since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, ‘I believed and therefore I spoke,’ we also believe and therefore speak” (2 Cor. 4:13). You can only use it as a weapon (by speaking it) if you’ve been reading it and know what it says.
8. It will help you make it through the tough times. When my first husband died suddenly when we were both 37 years old, I clung to the Word. I read it for hours every day. I knew I had to have it – I had to pastor our church and raise our teenage boys by myself. Reading the Bible is how I not only survived, but thrived during the hardest time of my life.
9. It’s how you win over the enemy. Mark 4:15 tells us that Satan comes to steal the Word from us. That’s because he knows that a Christian with the Word hidden in our heart and spoken out our mouth is so dangerous to his kingdom!
There are so many benefits to reading God’s Word! It is the source of our strength, it’s how we tap into the wisdom of the ages, it’s how we learn to hear God’s voice and receive His guidance, it’s how we have confidence in Him and how our families can live a life of blessings in Him.
If you haven’t already, begin today make a regular appointment with God to read your Bible. You’ll be glad you did.

About this Plan
In a world that’s constantly changing, constantly confusing, and very often wrong, the Bible is an anchor—the foundation of our life. It’s God talking to us, His instructional manual for living. Matthew 24:35 says, “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away.” When we read the Bible regularly, we can get to know God in a deeper way and live a supernatural life!
