GO2020 | ENGAGE: March Week 3 - CARESample

March 20—Our Brothers and Sisters in Christ
Read
John 13:34-35
Reflect
One of the ways we impact those who observe us is in the way we express our love to our brothers and sisters in Christ. When people see our visible love for each other, it serves as a witness to a divided and cynical world that Christ has changed us and wants to change their lives as well.
Engage
Read today’s Scripture passage. Say or write it out in your own words, considering the following questions.
· What does it say about God?
· What does it say about us?
· Is there a promise to trust?
· Is there a command to obey?
· How will I apply this Scripture to my life?
· Who will I show that I care by sharing this truth?
Memorize
Now read this week’s memory verse, James 1:27. Spend a few minutes working to memorize it.

About this Plan

Human need comes in many different forms—from a stranger asking for directions to a loved one in desperate need of healing. Our care for them can be physical, but often it is care for the soul, such as being present with a friend experiencing heartbreak. A hurting world calls for people who care. In Scripture we discover various folks who need the care of the followers of Jesus.
