GO2020 | ENGAGE: March Week 4 – CARESample

March 26 – By Being Humble
Read
James 1:17
Reflect
Everything we have ultimately comes from God, so when we give to those in need, we act as conduits of God’s good gifts so that the good gifts of our Father may flow through us to those in need. We can rejoice that we have been counted worthy to care for/serve others in the name of Jesus.
Engage
Read today’s Scripture passage. Say or write it out in your own words, considering the following questions:
· What does it say about God?
· What does it say about us?
· Is there a promise to trust?
· Is there a command to obey?
· How will I apply this Scripture to my life?
· Who will I show that I care by sharing this truth?
Memorize
Now read this week’s memory verse, Psalm 100:2. Spend a few minutes working to memorize it.

About this Plan

Is it possible to help others in such a way that it pushes them further from Christ rather than draws them toward him? When we serve others, we are actually serving God, and we are commanded to serve God with gladness (Psalm 100:2). Let’s look to God’s Word to better understand how we should care for and serve others.
