Covid-19 | Faith Over FearSample
Fear Never Wins
The Bible contains over 200 verses that deal with the topic of fear. There are some incredible promises. The 23rd Psalm has been consoling people for thousands of years. David, a shepherd, used imagery from his surroundings to comfort his fears. Even in the midst of dark valleys, David pictured God with him, like a shepherd comforting the flock. Bernadette Todd Struecker describes how she faces fear nearly every day.Listen to Bernadette |
With all of the verses that talk about fear, you know what we do not find? Any place where fear wins. Even when Jesus was just hours away from dying on the cross, His focus was on trust, not fear. Even as He uttered the request for the cup of suffering to be taken away, he quickly said, "Yet I want your will, not mine." He turned to faith in the midst of fears. Bernadette has found freedom from fears through trust. Each new day of the Coronavirus crisis brings a whole new set of fears. Grab hold of the promises from God's Word. Let those be your "go to" way of being comforted in the midst of your fear.

About this Plan
Jesus lived in a time when there was a constant state of fear. It was not an easy time to be living in Roman occupied Israel. They had many of the same emotions that we face today with the uncertainty of the Covid-19, Coronavirus pandemic. The guests on this seven-day audio devotional will help you gain some insight into how Jesus helps us live when surrounded by fear.
