GO2020 | ENGAGE: March Week 5 - CARESample
April 1—God of the Storm (COVID-19 Interlude)
Read
Matthew 14:22-33
Reflect
We can’t share the good news with others if our own hearts are not trusting in God. Let’s take some time to nourish our own hearts on who God is, especially in the midst of the current crisis, so that we can be encouraged and in turn encourage others who are feeling uncertainty and fear. As you read today’s Scripture remember that Jesus is Lord of the storms of our life.
Engage
Read today’s Scripture passage. Say or write it out in your own words, considering the following questions:
· What does it say about God?
· What does it say about us?
· Is there a promise to trust?
· Is there a command to obey?
· How will I apply this Scripture to my life?
· Who will I show that I care by sharing this truth?
Memorize
Now read this week’s memory verse, 1 Peter 4:11. Spend a few minutes working to memorize it.

About this Plan
When believers are serving the least, the last and the lost, we can easily forget the final goal. Christians are called to care about all suffering, but we must never forget the particular emphasis we have regarding eternal suffering. As Christians we must always keep in mind that the ultimate goal is the salvation of sinners to the glory of God.
