In Exodus 33, Moses asked to see the glory of God. Knowing such an experience could quite literally kill him, God showed himself to Moses in an incredible way. Exodus 34 tells the story of God passing in front of Moses to reveal his glory. Interestingly, this glory was not only his physical presence but also the characteristics of YHWH. The human experience with the Father is a vital part of the glory of God. God’s desire to show Moses his love simultaneously showed Moses his glory.

Daily Demonstration:

Knowing that the glory of God is not only that of his appearance, it is crucial that we, as God’s people, embrace the very nature of YHWH. God’s compassion and faithfulness to his people reveal an aspect of his glory that no one could have predicted. God desires his family. Perhaps one of the best ways to honor God’s glory is to reflect it to the world. How can you honor God by demonstrating his character today? Is there someone to forgive? Is there someone in your life who needs grace? Is there someone in need of compassion and care? Be bold and reflect the glory of God to the world today.
