River Valley Church SOAP - Part 4Sample

Paul explains that while he could have asked for something in return for the good news that he preached, he did not because he would rather reap an eternal reward than an earthly reward. He has made himself a servant to all types of people, regardless of their ethnic background so that they can all hear the good news. Paul believes that this isn’t just a secondary task, but one that requires his full focus like running a race. He notes the example of Israel’s history, encouraging the church to learn from their idolatry and resist temptation. While they can do many things, not everything is beneficial for becoming like Jesus.
