River Valley Church SOAP - Part 4Sample

This book was written by the half brother of Jesus, who received a revelation of Jesus after He was crucified and resurrected. James was known as a man of devout prayer and he was also known for the callouses on his knees. He was writing to a primarily Jewish audience that was scattered across the globe. The Gentile church was not in significant numbers at this time, and James was primarily in Jerusalem with a high concentration of Jewish converts to Christianity. James writes about the combination of faith and works, and how a heart changed by Christ includes a change in action.
