In the first part of verse 5, David says this, You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. How awesome is that?! God is celebrating his victory over the troubles of this life. It’s no secret that on this side of Heaven, we are going to face some things that are hard to overcome, and yet God has victory over all of it. The choice we have to make is to focus on the victory.
Maybe you feel like this valley you’re walking through is never going to end, and yet in light of eternity, God already has the victory over it! Don’t let this temporary trial rob you of your eternal victory with God as your Shepherd; choose to be focused on the victory!
1) In light of eternity, how much emphasis will the crisis you face now matter?
2) Define God’s victory for your life.
