A Song About Worship (But Worship Isn’t Just a Song!) 

Have you ever heard the word “worship” and immediately thought about the music at your church? A lot of people do! For some reason, people often think worshiping God means singing to God or listening to godly music. 

Here’s the thing: Singing to God is worshiping Him! But it’s a lot more than that. 

This Bible Plan is going to teach you all about what a whole life of worship is. Watch this video to learn a song that will be a key to the true meaning of worship. It’s based around Matthew 22:37-38, which is part of what you’ll read from the Bible today. 

The song in this video uses the NIV translation of the Bible. Maybe it would be helpful for you to read that same version, too. 

Ask yourself: What are some of the questions I have about worship? When I’m done reading this Bible Plan, I might still have some questions about worship. Who can I ask about those questions? 

Challenge yourself: Sit in a space that is quiet, where you can be alone for a few minutes. Close your eyes. Slow your breathing. Take a few deep breaths. Each time you breathe in, think: God, You love me. Each time you breathe out, think: God, I love you. 

Pray: God, thank You for the way You love us. Help me to love You with my whole heart, mind, and soul. Help me to learn how to worship You every day of my life. In Jesus’ name, amen.
