River Valley Church SOAP - Part 5Sample

God continues to speak, and He asks Job (rhetorically again) if he would like to try running His universe for a day. God speaks of the mighty beasts of ancient Hebrew mythology, saying that while His world is good, it is also imperfect and sometimes dangerous. God never really answers Job’s big question: “Why is there suffering in the world?” He challenges Job’s assumption that justice in the world should be simple, and requires Job to both broaden his perspective on how complex the world is and to trust God’s wisdom rather than his own or his friends’. God restores everything back to Job, even more than before, and rebukes Job's friends on how they responded to the situation. Job is ultimately blessed more than he can imagine for staying strong in his faith in the Lord.
