Acts 25:26-27
26 “But what shall I write the emperor? For there is no clear charge against him. So I have brought him before all of you, and especially you, King Agrippa, so that after we examine him, I might have something to write.
27 For it makes no sense to send a prisoner to the emperor without specifying the charges against him!”
You ever see those funny home videos of people walking into sliding glass doors? They think it’s an open door, but really, it’s closed, and they can’t see it! They are walking along and BAM - a priceless moment is created to share on social media for the world to see!
We serve a God of open doors. Jesus has given us the mandate to go and spread the Gospel message with others. When Jesus appeared to Ananias in Acts 9, He gave him a very specific message for Paul. Paul was chosen to “take my message to the Gentiles and to kings, as well as to the people of Israel.” (Acts 9:15) Here we see Paul doing precisely that - preaching to gentile Kings. God gave Paul a heads up about the open doors that were being set up for him. Why? Maybe because they would look like closed doors at first. To speak to these men, it wasn’t going to be at some yacht club over hors d ‘oeuvres, but as a prisoner stripped of his freedom. Paul’s arrest wasn’t God shutting doors, it was God opening them for Paul!
Today, if you look for them - if you pray for them - God will open doors for you to be a light at your school, job, home, supermarket, etc. What may seem like happenstance or coincidence may just be a sovereign God opening doors for you to walk through!
