Psalm 86 which is entitled, “A Prayer of David,” was most likely not written because of an occasion, but was a prayer he used often himself, and recommended that others use it in their day of affliction. Additionally, in Psalm 90 we guess that Moses penned it for daily use by people in their tents or at least by priests in tabernacle-service during their long and tedious fatigue in the wilderness.

SOAP is the daily devotional plan at River Valley Church. SOAP is a simple process that includes reading a selected passage of Scripture, writing down an Observation or two, committing to an Application, and engaging in Prayer. This is part 7 of a 12 part plan.
