The psalmist spends the evening reflecting on God’s presence and help throughout the day. Believers should set aside time, not just in the beginning of the day, but also in the evening before bed to worship and praise God for all of the events of the day. In this way our entire day has been dedicated and devoted to Him.

Will you ask the Lord to help you establish a pattern of evening reflection and prayer?

Father God, I thank You for carrying my burdens throughout the day. I thank You for helping me to reflect Your love and Your light on all those I encounter. I thank You for the challenges and trials that I experienced throughout the day, because they helped me to seek and depend on You. Protect me and my loved ones as we sleep. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
