DAY 7 OF 7

Strength in Numbers

READY

“The wise are mightier than the strong, and those with knowledge grow stronger and stronger. So don’t go to war without wise guidance; victory depends on having many advisers.” Proverbs 24:5-6 NLT

SET

It’s common to have more than one coach or mentor in your life. It takes many advisers to win the war. That doesn’t mean we should ask 100 people for advice, but there are some good people that you can have in your life, and it will help you make good decisions for your life.

That’s what happens with strength in numbers. That’s why accountability for yourself and your teammates is important. If some issues are popping up, we can all come together, agree on the problem, and pull each other out of a bad situation. That’s a powerful thing.

Shaun Alexander, a former NFL Hall of Fame running back, once said, “A lot of times, we don’t get enough people around us. We might just have one, and the one who’s struggling has pulled the other one down. But if there are three brothers around, they’re all going to pull you up.”

Be inspired to hold your teammates accountable in practice and in games. Show them how you represent Christ so that His good work can be spread!
