Matthew: Part 2Sample

When Jesus faced one of the hardest moments in His life, He prayed. Rather than try to take things into His own hands or try to “fix it”, He went to God.
When difficult moments happen, how do you tend to respond? Is prayer at the top of your list?
Right now, take the time to pray about something difficult you’re dealing with. It could be something at school, with your family, a health issue, something you need help with, or something else. You can pray about anything.
God wants you to come to Him. He wants you to talk to Him about the things that bother you and the things that matter to you.
You won’t bother God by praying for something over and over again. He’s not going to get annoyed with you.
So, take the time to pray right now.
But, don’t stop there. Do you remember how many times Jesus prayed the same thing in these verses?
Three.
Jesus prayed about the same thing three times. It’s okay to pray about something today and then talk to God about it again tomorrow.
You aren’t going to annoy God. God isn’t going to say, “Dude, you already prayed about this.”
God wants to hear from you.

About this Plan

As followers of Jesus, one of the best things we can do is look at Jesus’ life and learn from him. Join us as we look at the second part of Matthew. Each day has a suggested reading, but don't let that stop you from reading the entire chapter!
