The ZealotsSample

Another way that we can keep zeal for his house is by committing to stay in LOVE. Being in a loving relationship doesn’t just happen, it takes work and investment. It requires compassion, prayer, and a soft and tender heart. It is so easy for us to avoid the things that cause offense to us, leaving us with a heart that has become cold or shut off. Sometimes it feels easier to shut off the pain of the things that have hurt us and just continue to push forward. But God does not want us to harden our hearts, rather, he wants us to keep a soft heart toward him and toward his people. We have the beautiful opportunity as Christians in relationship with Jesus Christ, to come to the Father in prayer for all of the things that hurt us and break us. When we are able to come to God with these things, and keep a soft heart, we can remain zealous for his house and his cause, and we can show the world compassion and love through His holy church.
Questions:
What is an area of your heart that has been cold or hardened lately? Invite the Holy Spirit in to begin to warm and soften those places and replace them with love and compassion and zeal for Him once again.
