DAY 20 OF 28

Baby Dropped Off

It is disheartening to read the news of babies being abandoned in boxes or left at doorsteps, or even simply discarded. In contrast, it is heartwarming to read in the news of babies being rescued and given a chance to live. Have you noticed that when the babies grow older, they have an inner desire and resolve to find their birth parents? It would seem natural that there would be bitter hatred for the abandonment, but we find in the children a longing to find answers to the meaning of their life. Jesus knows exactly this condition of being abandoned and also, the reality of close communion with His Father. In Him, we have everything we need to have meaning and purpose – we have a Heavenly Father and Jesus, our Rescuer to make it happen!

Prayer: I am Yours O Lord and You are mine. Thank You for taking me as Your child and giving me life. Your love and mercy overwhelms me. My desire is to be Your child worthy to be called by Your Name. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
