Jesus proclaimed the good news (gospel) of the kingdom of God. He used parables to illuminate its worth:
Like a hidden treasure a person found.
Like a fine pearl a merchant looked for.
Whether stumbled upon or actively sought, the kingdom of God is of incomparable value, worth “selling everything to buy it.” Of course, God’s kingdom is not for sale. For those who believe in and follow Jesus by faith, the kingdom of God “is within you.”
Get Jesus, get God’s kingdom. What a deal!
Let’s be children of God who announce the kingdom of God. It’s good news!
