30-Second Spark 2Sample

Followship
A wealthy guy who sought a religious road to eternal life asked Jesus, “What do I do?” Unexpectedly, Jesus told him what not to do: trust in his possessions. Only then could he be free to follow Jesus.
The young man could not accept the reckless consequence of faith. He rejected Jesus’ offer and walked away.
By contrast, the disciples left everything to follow Jesus. For them, the cost of “follow-ship” was worth it.
Where do you put your trust? In self and in things, or in Jesus?
Let’s be children of God freed to follow Jesus.
