Journaling GratitudeSample

Devotional: YOUR COMMUNITY
If you’re part of a thriving Christian community that loves Jesus and people, you’ll identify with what Paul is urging his readers in this passage to do. He’s encouraging them to spur one another forward in good deeds, encourage one another and continue to fellowship regularly.
We aren’t fashioned to be loners and run our races by ourselves. Today, take time to thank God for the Body of Christ and the Christian community around you that is watching out for you, praying for you, supporting you, and cheering you.
Let’s not take for granted the gift of fellowship and choose today to be thankful for it.
Journaling Prompt: BIRDS ON A WIRE
There’s something so reassuring about seeing birds congregate in clusters on electric wires.
Visualize that as you journal today and thank God specifically for your community that has upheld you through this year.

About this Plan

While preparing for the holidays at the end of each year, it is easy to forget to practice gratitude intentionally. Grab your journal, color pencils, paints, art and craft supplies, or maybe even just a pen and a paper; and begin a meaningful 24-day journey this Advent of practicing gratitude through creative journaling. You can also ask a group of friends to join your gratitude journaling journey!
