Devotional: GOD’S TIMING
God’s timing is so difficult to understand. When you are anxiously waiting for something to happen that’s completely out of your control, God’s timing can seem like the most frustrating or confusing thing to wrap your head around.
Solomon, in all his wisdom, while writing Ecclesiastes, recognized that God does indeed make all things beautiful in ‘His time.’
Today, perhaps you are still waiting for something earnestly and seeking God for some answers. As you do that, thank Him for ‘His timing’ because whatever your situation or circumstance is, it will be ‘beautiful’ in His time.
Journaling Prompt: BUTTERFLY
Caterpillars are quite creepy and generally not that attractive, but in time, when they mature and change into butterflies, their beauty is revealed and unveiled.
Today, as you are thanking God for His perfect timing, use the idea of a butterfly to creatively express yourself in your journal. Remind yourself that things will be beautiful in His time as you work on today’s prompt.

About this Plan

While preparing for the holidays at the end of each year, it is easy to forget to practice gratitude intentionally. Grab your journal, color pencils, paints, art and craft supplies, or maybe even just a pen and a paper; and begin a meaningful 24-day journey this Advent of practicing gratitude through creative journaling. You can also ask a group of friends to join your gratitude journaling journey!
