The Heart Attitudes: Part 1Sample

Philippians 2:5 NIV
“Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus”
Romans 12:18 HCSB
“If possible, on your part, live at peace with everyone.”
Harold Bullock points out that the Heart Attitudes are not a magic formula that will turn everyone into a nice person. They are not a sure-fire, cannot miss panacea for all relationship issues. That is because there are always at least two persons involved in relationship issues.
You may do your best to live out the Heart Attitudes but those around you may continue to operate in exactly the opposite manner. That is why the scripture points out in Romans 12:18 that our part is to do our best to live at peace with everyone. Some people refuse to live in peace. If that is the case, then you need to move on and move away from them as quickly as you can.
The implementation of the Heart Attitudes will help you become a better person as you re-orient your life towards the attitude of Christ Jesus. Perhaps as others see your life-changing, they will desire the same!
