Leadership Lessons from a Roman Centurion―Part III
In this series, we are examining four attributes of an amazing man who impressed Jesus. In Luke 7, we read of a Roman Centurion asking Jesus to miraculously heal his dying servant.
The third attribute I noticed about this amazing leader was his generosity. This Roman solider was likely despised by most Jews. He had little reason to show them any generosity.
But, in Luke 7:4 the Jewish elders told Jesus about this Roman Centurion. They said, “He is worthy for You to grant this to him; for he loves our nation, and it was he who built us our synagogue.”
This Roman soldier’s past generosity to their cause provided him much needed favor later. As business leaders, generosity we give today may pave the way for much needed favor later.

About this Plan
As we grow in leadership, we want to do so in a way that pleases God. In this plan, we will examine an unlikely role model, a Roman Centurion, who embodied four leadership qualities that were valued by Jesus. These four qualities are applicable today, just as there were in Jesus' time.
