Simple Steps Toward Intentional DisciplemakingSample

Day 4: Lay Your Life Down
Jesus expressed his love by laying his life down. He said that there’s no greater love than someone who would lay down his or her life for a friend; Jesus willfully laid down His life for us while we were yet sinners!
Disciples of Christ are people who have decided to pursue a life of full surrender to the leadership of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—come what may.
To make disciples, we also surrender our lives in order to give ourselves to those we are discipling, just as Jesus did. The way of Jesus is spending yourself on behalf of others for the sake of His Kingdom and for His glory.
About this Plan

Every believer is called to make disciples. If God has given you a fresh vision for helping people know Christ, grow in their relationship with Him, and help others do the same, you are in an exciting place—at the core of Jesus’ Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20)! Over the next six days we will explore how Jesus helped people grow spiritually—principles that are still essential for disciplemakers today.
