Light to our path
Life is often described as a walk. People have to choose which path they want to follow. God’s Word tells us what path in life will provide the most meaning and fulfillment. In Psalm 119, it is compared to a lamp that helps us see where we should go. And we dearly need that, since this world sometimes is a pitch dark place and our eyes are blinded for the truth – like Jesus describes the crowds in Matthew 13:13: “seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand”. Without the “lamp” of God’s Word, we are lost.
It is important to find the right path. Jesus warns us: “For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.” If we want to reach our destination, we need God’s Word to guide us. Do you follow its instructions?
