"Improved in Christ"
Accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior is one of the best, long-lasting, meaningful connections you’ll ever make in life. When one accepts the gift of Salvation from Jesus Christ they are now in a relationship with the one who has been given “All authority (all power of absolute rule) in heaven and on earth” (Matthew 28:18 Amplified Bible).
Now that is a relationship worth actively pursuing. This is not to be taken lightly, being connected to Jesus Christ is the most important decision you’ll ever make. It is only through Christ that believers can come to God the Father. There is no one on this earth that can complete you, only Jesus Christ can! In Christ we are able receive the everlasting promises God grants to His children.
In Jesus we are:
Sharpened, Followed with Goodness & Mercy, Graced, Equipped, Forgiven, Loved, Saved, Improved, Redeemed, Developed, Fruitful, Distinguished, Covered, Healed, Protected, Favored, Guarded, Set Apart, Blessed, Educated, Revitalized, Refreshed, Renewed, Reformed, Reversed, Revived, Corrected, Instructed, Comforted, Strengthened, Helped, Encouraged, Restored, Perfected, Heard, Respected, Welcomed, Aligned, Refined and Radiant.
And these are just of the few of the numerous benefits we receive when we associate ourselves with Jesus Christ. In scripture we discover the powerful ministry Jesus had on earth that is still relevant today. Jesus equipped the disciples who were in association with Him to be encouraged, receive Godly instructional wisdom and to have faith in Him.
Jesus commissioned His disciples to “preach the gospel to all creation and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” Similarly since we are in association with Jesus Christ we are commissioned to do the same.
There’s nothing wrong with building associations with people but we must discern the connections we are in. Each association we pursue or are currently in should ultimately bring glory to God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit as well as align with God’s plan for our lives. Associations Matter and Praise be to God that our association with Jesus has redeemed us!
Seek Godly wisdom as you discern connections because Associations Matter.
