Make Music, My Soul
God is wonderful in His gift of music to man. It is because of His great love and mercy that one can make music. Our hearts rejoice at His works. The same hands who have created the earth and the heavens are the same hands that created our being. He not only gave us a voice to sing, but words and melodies of comfort. We find rest in the song of His spirit. With these same melodies, we are to comfort and to encourage others.
Make music and sing – is a command, not a casual saying. What songs will He find us singing? What kind of music will we be making? For we eagerly await the coming of our Lord. Therefore, we are to create sounds of harmony and rhythms that speak of His salvation, power and sovereignty.
