Jesus Chooses An Unlikely Bunch of Followers | Read

Jesus gives an open invitation to you and me, to be a part of His Kingdom - to have a genuine friendship with Him. Don’t let your own sense of shame, inadequacy or failure stop you from coming closer to God. Jesus was never looking for followers who had it all together, He made time for the very people that others would write off as sinners and worthless.

Becoming a follower of Jesus isn’t about somehow being good enough to be acceptable to God. Jesus will come and meet you right where you are and then show you a new way of doing life with Him. He doesn’t promise that life will be easier: it will be good... and it will be a rich adventure into a new reality that will change who you are and what you live for.

What are the things that stop me from drawing closer to Jesus?

Knowing That I Am Accepted | Pray

Have a conversation with God about the things that make you feel unworthy. God knows you and your past, so there's no need to try and impress Him. So, have a go at being honest about your self-doubts, your shame, even your disappointments! When we talk to God about our deepest regrets we discover that He is gracious and full of forgiveness and kindness.
