Overcomer: Defeating Anxiety and AbuseSample

Overcomer: Defeating Anxiety and Abuse

DAY 1 OF 7

Here is a journal activity: take some time to write down some lies you have believed about yourself / names that you have taken up (or even some that have been given to you) as a result of anxiety and abuse. When you are done with that list, go back through and cross each word out, and as you do -- write the word "Overcomer" next to each one.

Pray this prayer:

God,

Silence and still my heart right here and right now. Keep the lies that try to torment my mind and soul at bay so that as I attempt to climb out of the valley of my anxiety and abuse, it’s only Your voice that I hear. Come and wrestle with my fears, and remind me that You aren’t done with me yet. Open my heart to all that You still have for me and that You will be with me every step of the way. You are the Overcomer--give me Your spirit of victory. Open my mind and my ears to the truth that You want to speak over me. Set aside a holy power that will sustain me as I confront the things that would keep me from You and the goodness You have for me.

It’s in your name I pray,

amen.

Day 2

About this Plan

Overcomer: Defeating Anxiety and Abuse

The team at Broken Crayons Still Color has joined forces with their friend, Hope Moquin, to wade through the realities of anxiety and abuse. Follow the voices of four women who have known brokenness—yet, have claimed victory in Jesus overcoming all things. There is no darkness He can't touch, and there is no pain we can't come back from. We cannot and will not be defeated. We are overcomers.
