Overcomer: Defeating Anxiety and AbuseSample

Today, we want to make another lists of sorts: we want you to take some time to focus on "what is true," and "noble," and "lovely," and "pure," like Philippians 4:8 says. Make a list of all of the things that you have to be thankful for, past and present. Make a list of all the ways that God has shown up in your life before, so that you can hold onto all of the good and fulfilled promises in your life for when anxiety comes for you again.
Pray this prayer:
Dear Father, thank you for creating me so beautifully complex. Thank you for not making a mistake with me. You already know that anxiety is trying to claim a foothold over my life, but today I surrender my anxiety and mental health in your hands. You are my creator, my healer, and my savior. I ask you to guard my heart and my mind and to teach me how to overcome anxiety and live in your perfect peace.
In Jesus’ name,
amen.

About this Plan

The team at Broken Crayons Still Color has joined forces with their friend, Hope Moquin, to wade through the realities of anxiety and abuse. Follow the voices of four women who have known brokenness—yet, have claimed victory in Jesus overcoming all things. There is no darkness He can't touch, and there is no pain we can't come back from. We cannot and will not be defeated. We are overcomers.
