Fear/less (Pt. 3): It’s Time to Get Desperate for GodSample

Desperation brings us to God our Father. In the midst of this account, we see two different people who would have had two different experiences within a twelve-year span, yet these stories are interconnected. 

The woman with the issue of blood had lost everything as a result of her condition and the religious man would have had the world in his hands. Twelve years moving in different directions – one enduring treatments, hopes extinguished, and robbed in every sense; the other experiencing the richness of family and fatherhood, celebrating life and being overjoyed. 

Jesus took the time for both, irrespective of the urgency felt, and responded to both daughters. These women were both daughters of God. We have a Heavenly Father who is for us and all about us moving forward. We are children of God, through faith. This woman’s faith positioned her to receive from God, and positioned her to know God her Father.

Have you ever known people to draw back from God because they didn’t have someone advocating or caring for them?
