SWHW Bible Reading Plan: November 2021Sample

Top Takeaway from Caroline Foster:
I love Romans. Why? Because it’s in Romans that Paul reminds us of the "why" of the Christian faith. Every chapter and verse reminds us of our sin and the separation we had from God because of our flesh and constantly points us to the answer-Jesus.
He alone bridged the gap bringing salvation for all people. Christ Jesus was the complete cumulation of the law. It doesn’t matter where you come from, your background, or past sin, Jesus came for all people and He is the Lord of all people.
Going back and reviewing the basics often is very beneficial in many areas of our lives. It’s easy to get caught up in the doing that we forget the WHY. If we constantly go back to Romans and study it carefully, we will never be confused as to what we are called to believe.
Paul’s desire for the Israelites was that they would know and love God and be saved. He wanted a people that was zealous for God, not based on knowledge and rules, but out of an overflow of love. As a result, they would walk in obedience simply because they loved God.
Paul spent a lot of time focusing on how it is impossible to earn our salvation. The Jews relied on customs and traditions and missed out on the point of it all: Jesus. We must remember, it’s not enough to merely know the gospel; we must let it transform our lives.
Salvation is found in Jesus. Period. We must know, believe, and proclaim Him.
We have the opportunity to shine the light of Jesus and point people to salvation through our businesses and work. God has given us our positions, callings, and gifts for a specific purpose: to make Jesus known.
Day to day, you may not see quick fruits in your labor, but know this: God is working even when you don’t see it. You have a unique opportunity to show others, Jesus, today. Go be His hands and feet.
Lord, I lift up the woman reading this devotional today. I pray that You would pour over her and lead her as she heads into her day. Give her wisdom, insight, and joy as she meets the needs of those around her and shines Your light. I pray that she will be a light to all those who come in contact with her today. Use us, Jesus, for Your glory and the good of others! Amen.

About this Plan

With God's Word as the foundation, each devotional is written by women in the trenches of faith, family and work, aiming to live for the glory of God and the good of others. There are enough devotions included for a typical 5-day work schedule. We recommend plugging into your local church for the remaining two days of each week.
