Grateful for Salvation

But I with the voice of thanksgiving will sacrifice to you; what I have vowed I will pay. Salvation belongs to the Lord.  Jonah 2:9

Being grateful for the gifts you’ve received from God the Creator can become overwhelming when looked at in the enormity of scope. Seriously, like the very same Creator who aligned every star in the sky also accounts for each hair on your head. Not because He enjoys keeping inventory, but He adores you and desires an eternal relationship with you. 

It’s because of His heart’s desire, that salvation was made possible to you through the sacrificial crucifixion of His son, Jesus Christ. Had your Messiah chosen not to serve as an atonement for your sins, there would be zero hope for that forever connection with God. 

Showing gratitude for the free gift of God’s saving grace helps you to grow deeper in an understanding of the precious nature of what was given up so you could gain eternal life with God. Make it your priority to commit to an attitude of gratitude about all things from God – especially your salvation. Exercising gratitude also helps to bless you with a joyful spirit. The comfort and security of knowing that through salvation your name is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life forever should produce the fruit of gratitude.

The perfect way to show gratitude for God’s gift of salvation is to love other people in the same way God first loved you. It’s a gift that should never stop giving.
