Not knowing how things will play out and being unsure of what to do next can make us feel scared, frustrated, and doubtful. There are a million questions and possibilities, and the uncertainty is often scarier than the actual situation. This verse reminds us that we aren’t alone when we face the unknown. That doesn’t mean what we are facing isn’t scary, but it does mean our circumstances don’t have to overwhelm us because Jesus has promised us His presence.
In other words, the emotions of fear and doubt are overpowered by the confidence we have that God is with us wherever we go.
