Can you remember a time when you felt alone? I think everyone can. Whether you were at school and no one sat with you at lunch, or you were in a crowded room but had no one to talk to. Maybe you were about to fall asleep and felt alone. At some point, we’ve all experienced feelings of loneliness. Sometimes it’s hard when we are in our loneliness to think that people love and care about us. Often, we wonder if people like us or tell ourselves there are no reasons to love us, but we don’t have to worry about that when it comes to God. 

Jesus himself promised us He would be with us forever. No matter how lonely we feel, we can know Jesus is in our corner, and He will never leave us. You can go through life knowing wherever you are, whatever choices you’ve made, and however you may have messed up, God is still right by your side. Even when it feels like you have no one to turn to, you can know Jesus’ promise to you, and He will be with you until the end of time.

So, next time you feel like you are all alone, remember, God is with you. Talk to God about your loneliness and ask Him to show you how He sees you.
