Key People: Key People From The BibleSample

Samuel
Samuel lets everyone know of God’s selection of Saul as Israel’s first king. The end of the chapter feels like a letdown with everyone simply going home. In the next chapter, Saul will lead Israel in a military victory.
Saul is an unlikely leader, but Samuel obeys God in appointing him king. God knows best even when it doesn’t seem to make sense.
