Parents and Kids Daily Devotional "A Place of Power"

DAY 18 OF 31

Have you ever heard or read the news of traffic accidents because the drivers were distracted by their phones? Unfortunately, I’d say it happens quite often. The lack of focus and not paying attention to road signs make accidents unavoidable.

Being focused is very important when driving, especially when the traffic is heavy. We need to pay attention to the road ahead, the left and right, and even the back by looking at the rearview mirror. Looking and obeying the road signs are equally important. Only then can we have a safe journey.

Similarly, in our journey with Christ, the devil will try his best to distract us along the way. Therefore, stay focused on the destination God has given. Pay attention to the signs and wonders God has shown around us. The verse we read reminds us to keep our focus on God and follow His ways; only then can we be blessed and secure in Him.

Devotion for Parents
We understand the importance of maintaining our focus when we are driving, but sometimes we forget that it is much more important to focus on God and follow His ways all the days of our lives. And to know His ways, we need to go back to His Word.

In your opinion, why is it difficult to focus your eyes on God and to pay attention to the signs He has given to us?

Devotion for Kids
The road signs help us when we are on the road, not knowing what to do or where to go. But the signs become useless if we do not pay attention or obey them.

It’s the same with the Word of God. We know how powerful God’s Words are. They help us in all things. But we will never experience His power unless we pay attention and obey His Words.

Would you like to start paying attention and obey the Word of God every day?

Family Devotion Time
What are the signs that God has given to you?

Pray so that you can focus and obey God every day.
