Parents and Kids Daily Devotional "A Place of Power"Sample
Have you ever prayed for something with your whole heart, but instead of getting the answers you seek, your life crumbles before your eyes, even worse than before? I have—many times. I questioned if God was there with me. I wondered where He was. Why did He let me be all by myself? Why didn’t He help me?
It’s human nature to have those thoughts. Many of us might wonder why bad things happen to us when we always try to be obedient to God and do everything good and right. Why do bad things still happen to followers of Christ?
Being born again and having accepted Christ in our lives does not make us an exception to problems. On the contrary, problems might come attacking from every corner of your life as if they intend to destroy you. Your every waking moment becomes a life lesson. That’s where Jesus comes in.
God never creates problems for us. Yes, He does allow tragedies, challenges, loss, grief, and traumas to happen in our lives to mold, teach, transform, and guide us as we grow spiritually and mentally. Often physically as well.
When we come to God, being vulnerable and letting our guard down, He will extend His powerful arms to help build a newer version of us. We will see a stronger, wiser, and more mature version of ourselves. His power works over our lives, for us, and within us so that we may realize our full potential.
