Turning Off The NoiseSample

Turning Off the Noise: Be Still
I’ll never forget the telephone conversation when my oldest brother, George, called from the UK to say he was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. His voice shook as he described the diagnosis. Our very world turned upside down!
What are we to do in these world-shattering occasions when we are thrown into indescribable turmoil? How do we regain our spiritual center of gravity? “Be still and know that I am God” (v.10). Stop panicking. “The Lord of hosts is with us” (vv7, 11).
“God is our refuge and strength, our very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear” (vv1-2). Get away from the noise: “Be still and know that I am God.”

About this Plan

We live in a chaotic, hectic world, and sometimes it seems there is no escape from all the noise. This week, make time to listen to God, read His Word, and pray. Be intentional as you seek to listen to His voice and be renewed and refreshed.
