Turning Off the Noise: A Desolate Place
Getting away from the noise seems a good idea, but in practice it is so hard to do! There are just so many things calling for our attention.
At sundown Jesus heals the sick and casts out many demons. The next morning when the disciples awoke, they couldn’t find Jesus. They searched for Him and finally found Him in the stillness of the early morning praying in a desolate place. When the disciples told Him that many people were looking for Him, Jesus reminded them that He had to preach in other towns “for that is why I came out.”
Today get away from the noise! Spend time alone in prayer. Reassess your priorities.

About this Plan

We live in a chaotic, hectic world, and sometimes it seems there is no escape from all the noise. This week, make time to listen to God, read His Word, and pray. Be intentional as you seek to listen to His voice and be renewed and refreshed.
