How to FriendSample

Some of us do a lot for ourselves simply because we view ourselves with a sense of value—as a person created in the image of God. We believe that we’re worth it for good reasons, but what about our friends? Now think of the people you view as your acquaintances or those you don’t have as close a relationship with. This passage is meant for everyone, from our closest friend to our newest connection. That’s exactly what Jesus called us to do—show them the same care, value, and love to others we show ourselves—because everyone is our neighbor. Write today’s verse on a notecard and carry it around in your pocket as a reminder to treat others well—the way you treat yourself.
