How to FriendSample

Love your enemies? This might seem like an impossible task, but this is exactly what Jesus taught his followers to do. Not only that, He went on to model this very love when he was betrayed and turned over to be killed. Jesus doesn’t ask something of us he has never done himself. If friends have hurt us in the past, Jesus invites us to love them anyway and even pray for them. Carrying around revenge or bitterness in our hearts only hurts us, not the people we have resentment toward. Today, choose the path of forgiveness and find a way to choose love for a friend who has previously hurt you. Add them to your prayer list and ask that God would help you find the strength to treat them with kindness and love.
