You Are Called to be a Saint

DAY 4 OF 15

Saints grow in their understanding of Christ's love

"… That you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge." (Ephesians 3:17-19)

Jesus Christ loved the world so much that He was ready to leave His glorious position in heaven for a humble earthly life. He loved the world so much that He was willing to endure scorn and suffering and even die on a cross. He took humanity's sin upon Himself and bore God's wrath on behalf of everybody who believes in Him. That is incomprehensible, even more so when we realize that Jesus did all this for people who have rejected His authority over their lives.

When we have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, we get to know Him better as we grow in faith. When we are rooted in His divine love, we will start to comprehend how wide, how long, how high, and how deep that love is.

The good thing about understanding Christ's love "with all the saints" is that you don't need to figure everything out on your own. It is helpful to attend church services where the Bible is explained. It is encouraging to share your testimony with fellow believers. It is good to pray and worship together. All this helps you know Christ's love is so great that you will never see the end of it.

Thank Jesus for His endless love for sinners!

You Are Called to be a Saint

Being a Christian means that you belong to Jesus Christ and are called to live a holy life devoted to His glory; in other words, to be a saint. This has an enormous impact on your life. It changes your position towards God and towards other people, and it has consequences for your choices. Becoming a saint is not optional. It is the calling of every believer.
