Even Better: PerseveranceSample

Have you ever seen a good action movie? There's something about how a good movie takes you on a journey. You feel what they feel, experience what they experience, and you're usually rooting for them by the end! Can I ruin action movies for you? 99.9% of movies follow the same pattern.

1. Meet the main character. They are cool.
2. Oh no - the main character has a big problem!
3. Wow - look at how they persevered! They fixed the problem.

Most movies boil down to one central point - how the main character will persevere, overcome the obstacles, and fix the problem. Perseverance isn't just something we see in movies - God calls us to it. Hebrews 10:36 says, "Patient endurance is what you need now to continue to do God's will." If you want to follow Jesus, it's going to take endurance. It's going to take perseverance. Like a good action movie, the question is, "how do we persevere?" Over the next five days, we will dig into scripture to learn just that.

Challenge: Take some time today to pray that God would show you where you could use some perseverance in your relationship with him. Let God work in your heart over the next week.
