Even Better: PerseveranceSample

Do you ever get tired of doing the right thing? You try so hard to do right by your parents, siblings, teachers, and friends, and sometimes, after all that, there's not much to show for it. It's easy to feel like your effort is wasted. It's easy to think that the effort isn't worth it anymore. Paul, the writer of Galatians, closes his letter in chapter 6 and tries to give the church a little pep talk. He's trying to encourage them to keep going! What does he anchor his encouragement in? When we walk with Jesus and keep doing the right things, God sees it and will bless us when the time is right. Whether it's soon or far away - you can trust his timing. Don't get tired of doing good!
Challenge: Throughout your day, look for opportunities to do good for other people. Even if you don't feel like it, thank God for the chance to do good for someone else, and keep going!

About this Plan

We all have times when life just stinks. There will even be times when following Jesus isn't easy. Hebrews 10:36 says: "Patient endurance is what you need now to continue to do God's will." If you want to follow Jesus, it's going to take endurance. It's going to take perseverance. Over the next five days, we'll break down what this means and how we can grow in perseverance.
