Fear Fighting In The New YearSample
"Follow the Leading of the Spirit"
You have to hear about this woman. You might call her a no-holds-barred type. An “I’ll show you” gal. A “Bring it! God can do it!” woman.
Her name is Deborah. Have you heard of her?
She is called a judge in the Bible, but she is also a counselor, prophetess, and leader. She has courage and initiative and drive and insight and is everything we hope to be, personified in one focused woman. I love her story.
Maybe I love it because I have always wanted to shine. I have always wanted to walk into a room and draw every eye. My biggest fear is that I don’t have “it.” That I am doomed forever to the “average” category.
Deborah didn’t just sit there, though. She was the kind of woman you didn’t have to actually meet to know, because people wouldn’t shush up about her. Why? She was just worthy like that. God blessed her that way.
She was a true mover and shaker, not by her “specialness” but through her reliance on God. Her faith was great and it had the power to remove barriers and enemies—and any ounce of pride that any of this was her own doing.
Deborah reaches out to me and calls me to emulate her. She calls me to grab the Word of God, follow the leading of the Spirit, and get authoritative.

About this Plan
We all live with fear. It hangs around, whispering in our ears, reminding us of all we can't do or will never be. But that's not the end of the story. We also have a God who draws close to say, Fear not. I am with you. This Spirit transforms us into fear fighters. Get started on your journey to being a fear fighter in this new year.
