The Weekly Prayer Project for KidsSample

He Cares
Two blind men asked Jesus for healing. They were in pain. Jesus could have walked past them, but he didn’t. The Bible tells us that Jesus “had compassion” and healed them. Compassion means that Jesus felt their pain and wanted to help. Isn’t that amazing? When you hurt, God hurts with you. When you are suffering, God is sad. When you are upset, God cares.
Is anything hurting you or making you sick right now? Ask God for healing.
Think of a time when you felt sad or frustrated. Maybe you messed up, or maybe something bad happened that you had no control over. How do you think God felt watching you go through that? What will you say to God the next time something like that happens?

About this Plan

This devotional helps children 8 to 12 discover the power of prayer and its impact on their lives. It will encourage them to talk to God about their blessings, hopes, fears, dreams, and more. Bible verses and mindful reflections will deepen their faith as they develop their relationship with God.
